Bill Fosnight is an accomplished technology executive, entrepreneur, and inventor with over 35 years of experience spanning semiconductor manufacturing, industrial automation, robotics, and advanced technology development. He previously served as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Walmart Advanced Systems & Robotics and co-founded Alert Innovation, acquired by Walmart in 2022. His leadership experience includes senior executive roles at Brooks Automation and GlobalFoundries. An inventor with over 100 issued U.S. patents, Bill has led global engineering organizations and successfully commercialized groundbreaking technologies. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a dual MBA from Cornell University and Queen’s University.
